Final Fundraising Push for Kees and Claire Hut $300,000

Hello Mountain Lover,

The Spearhead Huts Society is planning to complete the Kees and Claire Hut at Russet Lake this summer. It’s been over 10 years since we lost Kees and Claire and we are incredibly proud to be bringing this project to life in their memory. There have been many accomplishments throughout this process however we still have some fundraising to do.

Construction starts back up April 29th and we have a funding gap of $300,000 based on the budget approved by the directors. By the time the project is completed the total cost of the project will be just over $2,000,000. On top of the funds raised there have been large amounts of discounted labour, materials and volunteer hours. We are so grateful for all donations received to date.

We’re on the home stretch and we need your help.

How You Can Support Or Donate

Small: Logo Merchandise ($30-$250)

We’ve collaborated with designer Vincent Chan and the Hill family (founders of Aritzia) to create a limited edition run of Spearhead merchandise with all proceeds going towards the Spearhead Huts Society.  These are sure to become collectors items!

Medium: Name a Bunk: $2500

Leave a lasting legacy for you or loved one by naming one of 38 bunks in the Kees and Claire hut. The bunks are arguably one of the most important areas of the hut and a dedicated name plaque is a great way to show your generous support for generations to come. Almost half of the bunks have now been named, but we need your help with the rest!
