In the winter, snow is melted using a propane stove to make water. In summer, water is carried from Russet Lake to the hut. Guests are asked to contribute to maintaining an inventory of water at the hut. When the hut is full, water consumption can be 200 - 250 litres a day for drinking, cooking and cleaning. Please do your part to replace what you use.
Do not use your own personal stove for cooking or heating anywhere in the hut. There are no garbage disposal facilities for guests. You must pack out everything that you pack in. Please leave nothing behind when you leave the hut.
